Lady Bear's Soccer Team have best season ever

The Lady Bears soccer team finished the season at 6-5-4 and they went all the way to the state semifinals where Gallatin beat them 2-1 in overtime and then their second loss was to the Beech Buccaneers 2-1. The Lady Bears went further than they had ever gone before in school history. Coach Strickland said that “the team did great and exceeded expectations” by going so far this season. The leading goal scorers for the season were Senior Molly Jackel and Senior Brittany Marbrough. The team had five seniors with Molly Jackel, Brittany Marbrough, Nikki Unland, Brianna Benson, and Krystal Smith. Coach Strickland looks to have a good season next year as well with a lot of good returning players but says they also have a good departing class. Congratulations Lady Bears from The Golden Ray.
