Barianne Taylor Signs with UT-Martin
Taylor is a 6-1 post player. She averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game. She shoots 51 percent from the field and 70 percent from 3-point range.
“Barianne has the ability to guard much bigger and quicker players because she is such a great athlete. Mount Juliet High School and head coach Chris Fryar with their work ethic has Barianne well prepared for the post play and rigors of college basketball. She is extremely coachable, a great student, solid team player and will represent us well on the floor and in the classroom,” McMillan said.
Paige Baugher Signs with Trevecca
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca women's basketball Head Coach Gary Van Atta is pleased to announce the second addition to the program's 2012-2013 recruiting class, guard Paige Baugher of Mt. Juliet, Tenn. Baugher will be joining her high school teammate, Helen Mitchner, in next year's freshman class at TNU.
"Paige is the prototypical two-guard," says Coach Van Atta. "She plays great pressure defense and shoots the ball extremely well from three-point range."
The 5-foot six guard is heading into her senior season playing for Coach Chris Fryer's Lady Bears. As a junior, she was named to the 9-AAA All-District team and the District 9-AAA All-Tournament team following a season in which she averaged 8.6 points and 2.8 assists per game, while shooting 36% from three-point range and a team-leading 81% from the free throw line.
Helen Mitchner Signs with Trevecca
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University is pleased to announce the addition of Helen Mitchner of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., to the women's basketball program's 2012-2013 recruiting class. Mitchner comes to Trevecca from Mt. Juliet High School, where she has helped lead the Lady Bears to an 84-13 record in her three seasons as the starting point guard. Mitchner will be the ninth player from a Wilson County high school to play for the Trojans under Head Coach Gary Van Atta. Current Trojans Britt Bell and Heather Miller, and former Trojans K.C. Van Atta, Christian Gibson, Paige McFarlin, and Casey Pigue all played at Mt. Juliet High School, while current players London Elie (Lebanon) and Lauren Wasson (Wilson Central) also played at Wilson County high schools.
"We are so excited about adding Helen to our basketball family at Trevecca," says Coach Gary Van Atta. "She will be a tremendous asset to the TNU community, both on and off the court."
The 5-foot five Mitchner has already compiled quite a list of accomplishments playing for Coach Chris Fryer's Lady Bears, including All-District 9-AAA honors for three consecutive years (2008-2010), District 9-AAA All-Tournament team honors in 2010, Region 5-AAA All-Tournament team honors in 2010, and Green Bank Ladies Classic All-Tournament honors in 2009 and 2010. NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Recently, Mount Juliet High School Senior Carissa Peterson signed a Basketball Scholarship with Volunteer State to the 2010-2011 recruiting class. We wish her the best of luck at Vol State. Congratulations!
Britt Bell Signs with Trevecca Nazarene University

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball coach Gary Van Atta has added 5'10" wing Britt Bell of Mt. Juliet High School to the 2010-2011 recruiting class.
Coach Van Atta says, "We have been recruiting Britt for a long time and I'm so glad that she has chosen Trevecca. Her versatility will be a strength for her. She can shoot the three and post up. She can guard you full court or in the post. She's also an excellent rebounder."
Bell averaged 15.0 ppg as a senior in helping Mt. Juliet to a 32-2 record, which included a District 9AAA championship, a Region 5AAA championship, a TSSAA Sub-state championship, and an appearance in the 2010 TSSAA State Quarterfinals.
She was named First Team District 9AAA, in addition to making the Region 5AAA All-Tournament Team, the District 9AAA All-Tournament Team, and the Greenbank Ladies Classic All-Tournament Team.
Bell's father Tim played baseball and basketball at Trevecca and was inducted into the Trojan Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995.

Clemmons' stats include 23 points per game, 7 rebounds and 3 assists; 39 percent (3-pointers) and 53 percent from the floor. He was named 2009-10 All-Mid-State Player. Coach Stewart said "Teraes is a tremendous basketball player and we're extremely happy he is joining our program.
He is an explosive player and a great shooter, we see him playing the two or three position for us. He comes from a well coached high school program at Mt. Juliet High School under Coach Allen and those are the kids I'm looking for."
