There’s a new MJ buzz on the Radio
By: JC Koudelka
There are some new and exciting things going on at Mount Juliet High School. One of them is the new radio station hosted by BNN Channel Nine. The main radio DJ is of course none other than Alex Kramer. The show runs five days a week, Monday through Friday. Each day is a different show with different types of music played on certain days.
The large eight feet tall black pole in front of Mr. Bauernfeind’s room, which has a satellite dish mounted to it, will be connect MJ via satellite to MTSU. This will enable MJ to broadcast MTSU educational programming. This will of course be for all the schools that are in-range of the Comcast Cable Channel Nine.
“I think this new radio station is awesome. It’s a great way to get the local bands out there and heard. I believe this could really take off,” commented fellow student and radio host of the Thursday Thunder /hard rock and metal radio show, Cameron Nolan. The radio station has an Internet broadcast in the works, but there is not a permanent link to it, yet. Alex Kramer stated, “This is the next step in bringing the news and local music out there to Mount Juliet. It has been a long and somewhat slow process, but the media department has come a very long way from where it began nine years ago. It will be exciting to see where this new radio station will go in the future.”
The radio station will be airing everyday in the afternoon from three o’clock until four o’clock. Be sure to tune in and capture the magic at Mount Juliet High School.
