The win knocked the Bears down to second place put the Wildcats in first in Region 6 Class 4A. The Wildcats have to lose at Springfield and Mt. Juliet has to win at Clarksville Northwest this Friday night for Mt. Juliet to win the region.
The Wildcats got the ball first, but couldn’t get anything accomplished. The Bears on the other hand scored on their opening drive when Michael Nwokoji ran in from 40 yards out to put Mt. Juliet up 6-0 with 9:10 left in the first quarter. Clark McAdoo was unable to make the PAT, which kept the Bears lead at six. The Wildcats took a 7-6 lead when they scored on a run from 21 yards out with 3:34 left in the second quarter. Mt. Juliet retook the lead when Clark McAdoo made a 32-yard field goal with 7:29 to play in the third quarter to put the Bears up 9-7. Clarksville scored their second touchdown of the game with 3:27 to play in the third quarter that was the last score of the game giving Clarksville a 14-9 win.
