Clemson

  • Who are the Clemson Tigers? Well, they’re that basketball team that seems to have no boiling point. They just keep getting hotter and hotter. While their early yearswere neither something to boast about or be ashamed of, they are definitely applying the pressure to the rest of the teams in the Atlantic Coast Conferen cenow. Over the past five years, coincidentally the years that head coach Oliver Prunell has been at Clemson, the Tigers have been improving at incredible rates. The past two years alone, they have tallied 49 total wins, and qualified for last year’s NCAA Final Four Tournament. Last year especially, the Clemson Tigers were a force with which to be reckoned. Going 25-11 and ranking number 5 in the Midwest Division is pretty good by any standards. Unfortunately for the Tigers, they were upset in the first-round of tournament play when they lost to Villanova. Now, the Tigers return to a new year, with high expectations. Purnell returns with three starters from last year and looks forwards to plugging the holes left by graduating seniors. Clemson has their mind set on Elite Eight or bust. Come check out Clemson games this season, especially, and this cannot be stressed enough, when the Tigers play against their number one rivals South Carolina Gamecocks. As one of the bitterest rivals in all of sports, this is not a game you can afford to miss. Support Clemson and see if Clemson can make it five wins in a row against the Gamecocks.
